What Mic has been reading while quarantined

Most of you know that I love to read and this stay at home order has opened up a lot more reading time. So you may be asking yourself, "What is Mic reading during all of this?" Well wonder no more. Here are all the books I have been digging into:
Picture
How big is our hope? Universe big or just a few. This book dares to ask the question "Dare we hope that all men are saved?"

Picture
Honestly, there is more Hope preached between the covers of this book than most Christian books published today. What does the next 100-200 years look like? Dare we look hopefully at the future of mankind? Kaku says yes!
Picture
Merton was a very interesting dude. This book compiles essays and letters he wrote throughout his life.
Picture
This book is all about violence and what the bible says about it.
Picture
The world is changing. We can communicate with millions of people from the privacy of our homes. Even the way people protest injustice has shifted to non-violent revolt thru social media and tele- communications. A very challenging read.
Picture
A beautiful look at the 50 days between the resurrection and the day of Pentecost. Set up like a devotion.

Picture
The beauty of the real good news will turn the world upside down.
Picture
I love watching this guys tv shows and I don't know why. His quirky sarcastic wit and humor shines thru his writings. It's kinda like a print version of the song "House of The Rising Sun".
Picture
A sci-fi classic that goes beyond the typical dystopian future fare and instead boasts a future filled with hope.
Picture
What would it look like if mankind disappeared? What would the planet look like? Really interesting take on what nature would do if mankind split.
Picture
Life in the Spirit is Life in the Present!
Picture
An intense look at what's really possible. Have we been living with God in a box of our own intellect? What would happen if we saw the real Father of all possibilities?

Music has always been a huge part of Lindsay and I's life. Everyday there is a speaker or a phone blaring tunes that invoke silly dance moves or quiet retrospection. Here are some of the things we have been jamming during the Stay at home order:

The Beautiful Gospel Series part 1

An Introduction

If your idea of Father God looks like Thanos - a deranged deity with a weird obsession with death that wants to snap his fingers and wipe out over half of the human race and the universe then you have not heard the Hope-Filled Beautiful Gospel. It's crazy to hear "preachers" wax on for hours about a crazy, destructive and hateful god that sounds more like a comic book character than the Father revealed through Jesus in Mathew, Mark, Luke and John. Jesus said if you've seen Him then you've seen the Father. Start there. If your view of God looks like anything other than Jesus, then you may want to revaluate your perspective.

This is part one of a six part series walking through what the good news actually is
