What We believe
God is a triune being, known as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Matt 28:19, I John 5, Col 2:9 He is the creator of all things, the crowning achievement of which is man. Man, both male and female, is created in God’s image and likeness and is called God’s son. Man was created to bring God’s kingdom to earth – to govern the earth and extend his family here. Family was God’s original government. Heb 2:7, Ps 8, Luk 3:23-38, Gen 1, Eph 5, Matt 6, Rom 8:29, Gal 5:25-33 His first son, Adam, chose knowledge of good and evil over intimacy with his father resulting in a broken relationship and personal identity. Since then, man has been ruled by his surroundings (cosmos). His nature became darkened and he falls short of God’s glory, his life missing its intended mark. This is sin – the nature God gave man being sourced and influenced by something other than His Spirit. Rom 5:12, Rom 3:23, Rom 8:6-8, 13-14, Eph 4:17-18), I Cor 2 Understanding man’s vulnerability, God prepares ahead of His creation to send His Son, in a man named Jesus, to restore oneness between man and the Father. I Pet 1:20, 2 Cor 5:18, Matt 27:51, I John 2 God’s love is equally passionate toward all of his children, lost or found. Many have accepted His love and have entered into relationship with their Father through the Son. Rom 5:8, Eph 1, John 3:16, John 14:6 Others are separate from the life of God as lost children, they have yet to see the Father who loves them. Rom 8:5, Eph 5, Matt 13 Those who have regained this oneness with the Father become reconcilers in the model of Jesus, as one Son releases many sons. 2 Cor 6, Heb 4, John 1:10, 2 Cor 5:20, Heb 2 |
The Father’s Spirit is in the world, softening the hearts of His lost children to His love. His Spirit also empowers His sons to reveal the Father’s heart to their lost brothers.
John 16:8, John 13:34 The Father speaks to the hearts of His children through words, dreams, visions and maybe most importantly, one another. The bible is His written communication with man and is useful for training and equipping God’s sons. But the truth is a Person who is found in those pages. Eph 4:29, Rev 1:10, John 1:14, John 14:6, Acts 2:15-18, 1 Cor 12, Eph 5:18-21, 2 Tim 3:16-17, 1 Pet 1:22-25 John 1:14 (paralleled with vs. 23), Heb 4:12-13 God’s sons are sent just as the firstborn Son was – to be the representation of the Father to all the earth. It is our passion to extend His love, justice and acceptance to all without prejudice. Rom 8:15-16, John 20:21, Heb 1:3, John 13:34, I John 4:11, 17, Micah 6:8, 2 Peter 3:9 Fueling that passion is the privilege we have to worship and relate to our Father, the King of Kings, the Creator of all things, the bright and Morningstar, the Word of God, the Everlasting Father, the Mighty God, the way, the truth, the life and the One who was, the One who is and the One who is to come!
